Born in 1944, Claude Satinet graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech. He joined the Automobiles Citroéuml;n group in 1973. After holding various positions within the group, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Automobiles Citroéuml;n in 1994. In 1998 he took the general direction of Automobiles Citroën and became a member of PSA Peugeot Citroën's Executive Directory, until 2007. Since 2004 he is member of the Strategic Council for Information Technology, headed by the Prime Minister, and in June 2011 he became Chairman of AFNOR (Association française de Normalisation, the French national organization for standardization and its International Organization for Standardization member body). From 2006 to 2009, he has also been Chairman of Télécom ParisTech.
