Daniel Clément, PhD in Energy Science, is the deputy scientific director of ADEME (the French agency for environment and energy).
In charge of scientific affairs since 2004, he was previously responsible for the development of knowledge management and information and communication technologies. From 1992 to 2001 he was head of the research planning department in the same agency. From 1999 to 2004, he coordinated the network of research and innovation on the fuel cells (PACo network). He contributes, as an expert, with work of the Plan, of the Observatory of Sciences and Techniques, of the International Energy Agency and of the European Commission.
Since 2012 Daniel chairs Club CO2, the French national hub in the field of CO2 capture, transport, use and storage (CCUS), bringing together the major stakeholders from industry and research.
